Introduction [Biosketch]

  • Siddhartha Sankar Dhar was born in Tarapur Silchar, Cachar Assam. He studied in Narsing Higher Secondary School, Silchar and passed his school leaving examination in 1988. He passed (10+2) examination from Gurucharan College, Silchar, in 1990. Subsequently he graduated from G C College Silchar in 1993 with Chemistry Honours. In 1996, he completed post-graduation in Chemistry from Gauhati University. He obtained Ph D degree from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2002 under the supervision of Late Professor Mihir Kanti Chaudhuri. He joined the National Institute of Technology Silchar as Lecturer in July 2004. He was promoted to Associate Professor in July 2018 and then to Professor in July 2022.
